I can’t believe how lucky I am to live near such rich history. I sometimes forget how amazing it is that I walk by the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall just running errands. When I thought about locations for upcoming shoots, I knew I had to snap some photos here. Thinking about all of the people who walked on these sidewalks makes me even more excited to celebrate the 4th of July in Philadelphia this year. It’s truly special to be a part of a celebration in a city where our country began.
I knew I wanted to find something patriotic, but that I could wear again without looking like the 4th of July year round. When I saw this shirt I knew it would be perfect and that I could wear it many different ways. (I’m thinking white jeans for a night out to a beer garden) I also really love wrap skirts and how they add dimension to an outfit, so I knew this one was a must for my closet. I know I’ll get a lot of use out of both of these items this summer.
Last year we didn’t celebrate much for the 4th because Kurt was studying for his Boards exam. So I am really looking forward to spending time together this year. We are going to the Phillies game on Saturday and plan to stay and watch the fireworks from the field afterwards. Have a great holiday weekend!
