Pressed Juicery Cleanse Review

I have wanted to try a juice cleanse for some time now.  I figured there was no better time than the start of the New Year.  I did some research and read reviews before deciding on the 3-day Pressed Juicery Cleanse 1.  They recommend this cleanse for 1st timers. I added the cleanse waters, which came with 3 chlorophyll h2o and 3 aloe vera h2o.  The chlorophyll is to be drank throughout the day for hydration and the aloe vera is to be drank right before bed and helps with digestion.  (Don’t forget to still drink your 2 liters of regular water as well!) The cleanse comes with 6 juices and the order in which to drink them.  By far my favorites were the almond drinks, probably because they tasted like thin milkshakes.  The greens were my least favorite, but I don’t think it’s fair to compare an almond drink to a drink filled with greens.  I was a little nervous that I would have a hard time drinking my leafy greens, but I was shocked at how good they were.  The Citrus 2 was a delicious afternoon juice and I actually looked forward to this one each day.  If there was a Pressed Juicery in Philadelphia I would absolutely get these juices on a regular basis they were so good.  Here is a little rundown of how the cleanse was for me.

Before:

Leading up to the cleanse I followed their suggested eating and preparation, which can be found here.  I will say the hardest part was giving up caffeine.  I realized just how much coffee I drink a day and how much I enjoy having a warm drink to sip on.  I switched to warm water with lemon and this helped with me craving a warm drink, but I was very tired.

Day 1:

Day 1 was definitely the easiest.  I was so excited to start the cleanse and looking forward to feeling great afterwards.  I did start it on a Sunday, so I was home doing chores around the house and found that I really wanted something to snack on, but I pushed through and drank lots of water.  Overall, I felt pretty good.

Day 2:

This day was by far the worst.  All I could think about all day was eating tacos.  I also worked this day and found it a little difficult to concentrate.  Also, my stomach was very upset.  Luckily it went away after midmorning. It took everything in me not to break on this day.  I thought about giving up and wondered if I was crazy for thinking I could do this, but somehow I made it through.  They recommend going easy on working out and instead walk just enough to get your heart rate up – so I took my dog on a longer walk than normal.

Day 3:

I was still craving tacos.  Knowing that it was the last day kept me going.  My energy was back up and I felt pretty good.  Another recommendation they had was using a skin brush and taking a warm bath.  I did both of these of this day and I felt so great after.  I decided I need to do this more anyway because it was so relaxing and great to just sit and not think about anything.

After:

I felt my best the day after.  The entire process was completely worth it for how I felt the few days after the cleanse.  I do still feel great, but I had friends visit and we ate and drank way too much so I think I counteracted the work the cleanse did a little bit.  I have continued to cut back on my caffeine and have tried to switch to tea over coffee as much as possible. The few days after the cleanse I followed the suggested eating plan that they email you before you end your program.

I would recommend doing the Pressed Juicery Cleanse if you are looking for a way to detox and cleanse your body.  It was hard and took quite a bit of self control, which I do not have when it comes to food.  But it really was worth it in the end because I feel a lot lighter and my energy is up and I have also noticed I am sleeping better (probably because I am no longer drinking coffee all day every day).
