I absolutely love all the details that go into entertaining. When I walk into Crate and Barrel I immediately start thinking of all the different ways I can use everything in the store. When we were registering for our wedding, it took all of my power to only register for the things we “really” needed. We had just moved in together and needed pretty much everything, so I had to concentrate on picking out everyday dishes and not all different entertaining goodies. The pitcher and glasses were on our registry and we use them all the time.
Sangria is one of my favorite drinks in the summer. It is super easy to make ahead of time and tastes even better when it has sat in the fridge for a day or two. To be honest, I don’t really have a recipe and I experiment every time I make it. But here are the general necessities to making the perfect summer sangria: brandy, red wine, sprite (or flavored sparkling water), and sliced fruit. I would recommend sprite over sparkling flavored water, but if you would like less sugar, the sparkling water works just fine. What are some of your favorite summer drinks? Any secret ingredients to your sangria?
Also, how awesome is this “bar cart”? It is actually my grandpa’s old tea cart. It is hands down my favorite item in our apartment.
